Ways of Being is a donation based series of workshops and talks for those interested in discovering how different ways of being can shape our authentic self-expression. It combines my two previous offerings: Collective Breath; 21 day meditation course; and Monthly Sessions; thematic sessions for creatives; into one container.
Ways of Being was born out of a deep longing to create a space where human interaction isn’t defined by the need to produce or perform, but by the genuine desire to connect, discuss, and share our understandings. And as a reminder that community and meaningful compassionate discussion can leave us feeling inspired and more connected; to ourselves and our lives.
The logo, circle-triangle-square is a reference to Japanese monk’s Sengai Gibon sumi-e zenga depicting “the universe”. The circle symbolises the infinite; the triangle represents the beginning of form; and the square represents the manifestation of that form. A way of honouring my Buddhist practice.
On Sunday 27 April we will explore subject of Solitude.
We will touch on the following questions:
Difference between solitude and loneliness?
Why creative work needs solitude?
How solitude supports concentration?
In preparation to our meeting I kindly ask you to read an essay by Mary Oliver, Of Power and Time, which can be found in Upstream, Selected Essays.
Like in our previous session I will be sharing my discoveries and research, and looking at Meaning from a Buddhist and Cultural perspective.
Join us for a talk, practice and discussion.
Connect with likeminded folks, leave filling inspired.
Dana welcomed.
