Client - Mahika Kala

Mahika Kala is a sustainable slow fashion brand based in Bristol created by Emily Moore. Mahika Kala creates pieces exclusively with natural dyes and natural fibres and their distinctive fabric patterns are made using the ancient craft technique called dabu - a variation of block printing but making a resist paste with mud. The photographs were shot on medium format and a variety of Ilford and Kodak 120 film.
